What’s the Global and Local - Broadcast + Media's Blog?
This year's NAB event in Las Vegas event marks the debut of our new blog, Global and Local, which I have established in order to be able to bring you regular updates from major international events - such as NAB, IBC and Broadcast Asia - as they happen ('Global'), while also providing a more immediate platform to bring you news on what is happening in the Australian market (the 'Local' bit) and give you the chance to offer your thoughts and opinions on what is reported, as well as to share your views on any other issues pertaining to the broadcasting industry.
I hope my postings will help you get a real sense of what is happening at the major international events in our industry calendar, as well as on our doorstep. I encourage you to use Global and Local to get your views across to the industry at large and share important information with your industry peers.
Commenting
To add your comments to a blog posting click on the comment button at the bottom of the post. This will take you to the comments page where you can read what others have written and you can add your own comments along with your name.
Removing offensive comments
If you find an offensive comment on the blog, whether it be obscene language, is unnecessarily critical of yours or anyone else’s company, is personally defamatory of hurtful, or is otherwise unacceptable you can report it here. You will need to provide a reason why you think the comment ought to be removed and if valid we will endeavor to immediately remove the offending comment. Just disagreeing with a comment is not sufficient reason to have it removed. In fact if you disagree with a comment the best way to counter it is to post yourself and contribute to the dialogue.
