Clipster: Making the cut at NAB “the best and most exciting post production products seen at the NAB convention”
Following NAB 2004 the online-editing system Clipster from DVS received the prestigious “Making The Cut” Award. With this award the editing expert and “Video Systems” magazine contributing editor Bob Turner recognises “the best and most exciting post production products seen at the NAB convention”. According to Turner the awarded products “stood out as those that could take post production to the next level.”
In Las Vegas DVS presented its multi-resolution real-time editing and versioning-system for the first time with primary real-time colour correction for files up to 2K resolution. For selective colour grading DVS is cooperating with Pandora (Pogle) and da Vinci (2K and 2K Plus). Designed as an open platform Clipster also supports working with Adobe After Effects, Discreet Combustion and Eyeon Digital Fusion. The editing system is now able to support all digital intermediate processes: capturing, editing, zooming & panning, colour correction and finishing. Connected to a SAN the all-rounder provides real-time single and dual link HD-SDI and HSDL record and play of up to 2K 24P 4:4:4 12 bit on a shared storage via dual LC 2 Gbit fibre channel links.
