Mastering audio monitoring

At IBC, TSL will be showing the AMU2 8HD Dolby (pictured), the latest version of TSL’s flagship audio monitoring solution that provides a multi-functional solution for HD/SDI master control, playout, production and outside broadcast monitoring requirements. The AMU2-8HD is HD, and fully Dolby E and D compatible.

IBC will also see the worldwide launch of TSL’s AMU1–CHD, the latest addition to the AMU 1 series sees the HD 1080p format added to the list of video signal standards, supported by the company’s de-embedding audio monitoring units. Specifically designed to give maximum functionality in a compact 1RU format, the AMU1–CHD Dolby features internal loudspeaker monitoring whilst the Dolby D/E decoder enables users to listen to individual surround sound stems, multi-language audio or Lt/Rt Downmix.

The company’s MDU Series will also be launched at the Amsterdam event. The MDU range of products has been designed to offer full flexibility to technical operators in leading broadcast applications. From the entry level MDU-14-B, which provides 14 fused IEC outlets at superior density, to the MDU-12PM power managing unit, which offers full SNMP alarm monitoring and remote management plus a host of other features including external GPI inputs and temperature control.
