OBs get more cable in less space

German cable manufacturer Klotz has introduced a new heavy duty multicore cable for concert touring and OB applications. Measuring just 20mm OD for the 48 way the new multicore is as much as 20% smaller than conventional cables which means either more cable can be carried or more space is available in the truck or in cable trays and ducts.

Available with 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 40 and 48 channels the construction of the PS14P includes two 0.14mm conductors plus a drain wire encased in a high noise rejection 100% foil wrap. An easy to strip and terminate numbered PVC jacket encases each channel and an overall 85% screening braid adds cable strength and protection to the channel cables. The outer jacket is dark blue fire retardant PUR.

Also new to the Klotz cable stable is an easy to terminate 2-channel DMX cable (DMX2), a 1.5mm diameter conductor speaker cable (LY215), and an SVHS cable (VSVHS).

Klotz is distributed in Australia and New Zealand by TAG (Technical Audio Group). For more information: www.tag.com.au
