In conjunction with the exhibition, there will also be a variety of conferences taking place. The BroadcastAsia International Conference will feature case studies on the latest service application, DMB updates and an array of technical papers from across the globe. Areas to be covered include, IPTV, content creation, and delivery to protection methods, media developments, DMB, production techniques, digital radio and more.
Broadband, mobile and next generation networks anchor the CommunicAsia Summit sessions while new forums on convergence, wireless broadband and satellite are being introduced to add greater depth to the event.
This year will also see the inclusion of an IPTV Forum, which will take place on June 21.
IPTV in the digital media landscape is entering a new, dynamic and quite unprecedented phase of development and implementation today. Dwindling wireline revenues, consumer demand for greater control over viewing preferences and the explosion of broadband in various high growth markets across Asia-Pacific represent the impetus for the development of IPTV in the region.
The IPTV Forum will look at various IPTV launches and the many business and technical considerations. It will feature perspectives from leading operators, technologists and content providers on the deployment and marketing of IPTV services in Asia.
Other attractions will include technology trails, where visitors can enjoy live demonstrations by exhibitors of their latest products and find out about developments for some of the hottest technologies in the market. Technology trails will feature DVB / DMB, HD technology, IPTV and professional audio technology.
