Ask most people which country has the greatest proliferation of media outlets and they would likely say the United States. But they would be quite wrong, for China, a country with a population of 1.3 billion, has the biggest radio, film and television market in the world. Around 98 percent of families own TV sets in China and there are nearly 2,200 TV channels in the country.
Hosted by the State Administration of Radio, Film & Television, the China Radio, Film & Television International Exposition - which will be held in Beijing from August 24 to 26 - aims at promoting the communication of international radio, film and television and accelerating the development of the Chinese film and television industry.
Focusing on the exhibition of film and television programmes and the technology that is used to produce them, the event provides a platform for the communication and exchange of international radio, film and television programmes and technology, as well as hosting a high-level forum and issuing awards to China’s national radio, film and television industries.
The purpose of China International Film & TV Exhibition is to boost international trade and increase cooperation and development.
